I spent a significant amount of time last night re-reading every post I’ve written since December 2009.  It was neat to go back and remember what was going on in my life when I wrote, as well as to reflect on all of your comments, encouragement, and spurs to think in different ways.  It also reminded me of the variety of topics we’ve covered, such as why I started the Betwixter in the first place, pin-pointing what you want for yourself professionally, lots of topics on dating,  balance, babies (and babysitting) , sex, weddings, female landscaping (from the male and female perspectives), money, happiness, sexuality, grad programs,  birthday reflections, dressing tips, goals/dreams, and a myriad of other random topics.

No profound syntheses from me, but cool to see some common themes emerge in myself over the past (almost) two years and look forward to the next couple years.  Thanks for continuously surprising me with the fact that you read, and contribute, to this blog!

  1. There’s certainly some sort of accountability in this format to keep writing, plus you’ve seen an entry or two about ‘oh where, oh where has the Betwixter gone?’ when it’s been an eternity since the last post.

  2. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years already! I admire your stick-to-it-ivness. Blogs are like the modern journal/diary, but my diary entries are normally like “Dear Diary, I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written. This time I’m going to be much better about keeping up.” [6 months later…] “Dear Diary, Man, I’m really bad at this. For real, this time I’m going to be more diligent about writing.”
